A generous insurance plan for our people.

We’re proud of our products at TAL, which is why we provide them for our people too.

TAL permanent employees receive company paid income protection insurance, not to mention life and total + permanent disability insurance. Cover commences after 6 months service. Family and friends receive a discount on our insurance too.

Health and wellbeing programs

Our commitment to a healthy workplace includes facilities as well as policies that support our people. Just some of the ways we live this commitment include free parking for expectant mums in the final trimester, free flu shots and flexible working arrangements that suit you. 

Leave options

Life outside work is important, so when you’ve worked with us for 12 months, you can purchase additional leave. And once you’ve been with us for 3 years, you’ll get an additional 2 days personal leave each year.

Referral bonus

Help us to find more great people to work at TAL. We’ll reward you with a referral bonus of up to $4000 if you find us someone amazing. 

Gym facilities/membership discounts

Our offices either have fitness facilities or employees are entitled to discounted membership at nearby gyms.

 

Our community contribution

We’ve been protecting Australians for 150 years, and we believe in the power of community. So we’re always looking to give back in other ways through our Community Foundation. 

The TAL Community Foundation launched in 2015 to better coordinate and amplify the help we provide to the community. Since then, the Foundation has made a real difference through monetary donations and skills-based volunteering in three focus areas:

  • helping children from disadvantaged backgrounds,
  • supporting Indigenous communities, and
  • promoting positive mental health. 

Beyond our dollar matching programs for donations, we also support community days where our people dedicate their time to support a charity of their choosing. Last year our people contributed nearly 250 days of community volunteering.

TAL’s Diversity and Inclusion Council, chaired by our Group CEO, focuses on fostering an inclusive culture, enabling our people to work in a way that allows them to reach their full potential.
