The things I most enjoy about working at TAL…
The great people that I work with and the friendships I have made over the last 10 years, as well as the opportunities I have been given to develop my industry, people management and leadership skills. I also really appreciate the support I have been given as a working mother to have the option of returning to work part time.

My advice if you’re considering joining us…
Don’t come with the expectation that we operate like a big corporate. We are professional in how we get things done but not overly bureaucratic -  everyone has the opportunity to find creative ways of improving the way we service our customers.

Pricing – Group Life

In my time at TAL I’ve worked in…
the Group Life team where I provide actuary pricing support on an array of internal projects and tenders including some very major business wins.

When I first joined TAL I was working my way through my actuarial exams. The daily interaction with the Group Life underwriters, claims managers, sales and the technology teams during this time was invaluable in helping me to prepare.

The things I most enjoy about working at TAL …
It has to be the talented and diverse group of people that I work with every day. We are a collaborative team from a variety of backgrounds not only from within financial services but also other fields. Such expertise provides countless opportunities to learn and grow with your peers in creating innovative solutions for our customers.

I value the challenges we get from our customers and the sense of achievement in working together to provide the best insurance solutions for their members. 

Earlier this year I entered the Financial Services Council / Deloitte Future Leaders program and the support that I received from within my team as well as the wider TAL business played an important part in my success as winner of the Life Insurance category.
