TAL Community Foundation
Our community partnerships allow us to be actively involved in the community and contribute to a better society for all.
At TAL, we believe our responsibilities go beyond helping our customers and extend into local communities. Our view is that by building a sustainable future, by being actively involved locally, we will not only help our business, but our communities as a whole.
Helping children from disadvantaged backgrounds
We believe in supporting the next generation. At TAL, we partner with the Australian Business and Community Network (ABCN) with a mentoring program that allows TAL employees to provide children from disadvantaged backgrounds with skills and work experience to help them develop their careers.
Supporting the growth of Indigenous communities
Through partnership, we can better support the indigenous communities around Australia. We have selected Jawun as TAL’s Indigenous community partner.
With Jawun, we send TAL team members into communities where they can use their skills to provide valuable assistance.
Promoting positive mental wellbeing
With 70% of mental health disorders starting in youth, we have formed a partnership with Orygen, the National Centre of Excellence in Youth Mental Health. Orygen is the world’s leading research and knowledge translation organisation focusing on mental health in young people. Their aim is to deliver cutting-edge research, innovative clinical services and evidence-based training and education around mental health. We see our involvement as a real investment in the future of Australian youth.
