TAL, Australia’s leading life insurance specialist, today announced the appointment of Loraine van Eeden to the role of TAL General Manager, Claims.
An internal appointment, Loraine transitions into this role from her previous position as TAL General Manager, International Life Solutions, and will be responsible for overseeing claims management across all of TAL’s distribution channels.
TAL Chief Operating Officer, Justin Delaney, said, “We are delighted that Loraine is joining TAL’s Customer and Operations business. We undertook an extensive internal and external search for this role, with our local talent comparing favourably to the best in the market.
“Our claims experience is where we make the biggest contribution in the eyes of the people who matter most - our customers. We have every confidence that Loraine’s depth of experience and knowledge of TAL will ideally position her to support our continual improvement of the claims experience.
“We are investing more in the claims experience than any other part of our business and we are pleased to have Loraine join us after a record year for TAL’s claims team,” he said.
Before joining TAL, Ms van Eeden was the Head of Swiss Re’s Life and Health Claims proposition, working at their London and Zurich offices. She had responsibility for the design and management of Swiss Re’s claims functions across the Asian, European and Latin American markets.
Ms van Eeden commences the role in January 2018 in TAL’s Sydney office.
