Through TAL Health Sense Plus, we want to help you learn about the importance and rewards of preventative screening tests, which can detect and even prevent many serious conditions, including cancer, diabetes and heart disease.
The TAL Health Sense Plus discount rewards your proactive health care and a healthy Body Mass Index (BMI) with a further 5% premium discount on your Accelerated Protection Life, Critical Illness and TPD Insurance, for up to two years at a time.
Simply respond to our invitation to confirm your BMI and complete a preventative screening test every two years, and the extra 5% discount can continue to be applied whilst you remain eligible.
New customers
All new applications on or after 26 May 2023 will receive an automatic 5% discount off your Life, Total and Permanent Disability and Critical Illness Insurance premiums for 2 years with TAL Health Sense Plus, which if eligible, you can apply to renew in the future by maintaining a healthy BMI and having a preventative screening test every 2 years. Just send us evidence you took the test, such as a receipt. Do not send us your test result.
Existing customers
Once you have the TAL Health Sense Plus discount applied to your policy once, we will email you a reminder every two years to confirm your BMI and complete your preventative screening test, for as long as Health Sense Plus continues to be offered. Simply follow the instructions we provide to you, and if you remain eligible the discount will apply for another two years.
If you have not previously had the TAL Health Sense or the TAL Health Sense Plus discounts applied to your Accelerated Protection Life, Critical Illness or TPD Insurance policy with us, we may send you an offer to participate in the program at the time of your policy anniversary.

Health Sense Plus is subject to offer and eligibility criteria. Participation is entirely optional and does not impact the terms of existing policies held with TAL, or claims made under those policies. The costs of preventative screening consultations and tests are not reimbursed by TAL, and the results are not required to be disclosed to TAL for the purposes of confirming eligibility for the Health Sense Plus discount. By participating in Health Sense Plus and verifying eligibility for the program, TAL collects data and information which includes participants' personal information and may include sensitive personal information (Data). By participating in Health Sense Plus, participants consent to TAL's collection and use of the Data in accordance with the TAL Privacy Policy. Any Data shared with TAL for the purposes of the Health Sense Plus program is used only for assessing eligibility for the discount, and is regularly deleted once eligibility has been confirmed.
