Health Recovery Manager, Health Services

Gemma has over 12 years’ experience in Occupational Therapy. She started her career working as a rehabilitation consultant across a diverse range of employer groups, assisting employees in their return to work following an injury or illness. Gemma also worked as an internal injury management adviser for NSW Police. During this time, Gemma developed significant experience in managing complex claims as she supported police officers in their return to work often following a psychological condition.

Gemma joined TAL in 2012 as a Rehabilitation Consultant responsible for overseeing external rehabilitation services and providing support and strategic guidance to Claims Consultants. In 2016, Gemma moved into the Health Services team as the Health Recovery Manager supporting the implementation of health support programs at TAL and providing recovery opinion for individual claim cases. 

Gemma is passionate about helping people return to work and life following a setback by providing exceptional support and service. She is always looking at new ways to innovate in the wellbeing and recovery space to ensure customers have access to the best support available.
