What happens if I need to make a claim?

Our claims process is designed to be supportive, so you can focus on what matters most.

To start a claim, contact TAL directly or speak with your financial adviser, employer, or superannuation fund if your cover is through them. Once your claim is initiated, you’ll be assigned a dedicated claims consultant who will guide you through each step, clearly explaining what’s needed and when.

Claims can be submitted via phone, email, or post. Your claims consultant will assist with gathering any required documents, such as medical or financial information, and ensure the process stays on track.

For more information visit our guide to claiming page.

I have life insurance through my super. Is that enough?

Many Australians have some form of life insurance through their super. The default level of cover is not based on your unique current and future financial obligations, so you may want to check to see if it’s enough.

You may also want to consider whether you’re able to take your insurance with you if you leave your super fund.
